Description The Kawasaki Ki-61 was Japan's only fighter to be powered by a liquid-cooled fighter during WW-2. Built for the Japanese Army, the Ki-61 was named "Tony" by the Allied code-naming system, and was encountered throughout the Pacific from 1943 onwards. It formed one of the principle defensive fighters for the Japanese Home Islands during the final phase of the war.
